The controlled drugs cabinet Dimensions are :- 480mm(5) x 560mm (W) x 160mm (D) and it is made from 2mm thick mild steel with a fully welded construction. This controlled drugs cabinet features four fixed door trays and four internal shelves, two of which are adjustable.. In accordance with British standard 2881:1989 level one and “The misuse of drugs (safe custody) regulations 1975 the unit is fitted with a single 6 Pin Euro-profile cylinder euro profile cylinder lock independently tested to meet BS: EN1303:2005. The lock features key retention which prevents the key from being removed unless the lock is in the locked position. This feature is to prevent the controlled drugs cabinet door from appearing locked when the door is only closed . The Drugs cabinet door is fitted with a continuous hinge having a welded hinge pin designed to stop it being forcibly removed. In the event the hinge is forced the controlled drugs cabinet has a folded return on the door which prevents the door from being removed. The back face of the Controlled drugs cabinet has four fixing holes of 10mm diameter which are clad with 3mm thick Anchor plates to reinforce the bolt hole positions and prevent forced removal of the Cabinet.
The controlled drugs cabinet weighs approximately 20 kilos and has a volume of approximately 43 litres.
